Marie Falke

ABOUT

Marie Falke *1991 studied film at the University of Arts and Design Karlsruhe and Academy of Media Arts KHM Cologne. In 2017, together with Sophia Schiller, Falke co-founded Filmwerk Kalliope, an association dedicated to the production of artistic film and media art projects. In 2019, she received the Federal Award for Art Students. She works as a film editor for international film productions. Her films have been screened at numerous film festivals, including dokKa Karlsruhe, Doc Lisboa, HotDocs Recommended, PÖFF Tallinn, and KFFK Cologne. Her latest project as a film editor, the documentary “Geography is Destiny” by director Rayna Teneva, is currently on display in the Bulgarian Pavilion at the 2026 Venice Biennale.
